At UNI, our focus is on undergraduates.
You will learn from professors who are successful designers, artists and scholars with national and international reputations. No art classes are taught by teaching assistants.
From computers, kilns, presses and cameras to gear for welding, woodworking and metal fabrication, UNI has the tools and equipment to make your vision a reality. The Department of Art provides state-of-the-art technology in its computer labs. Every other year, all computers are replaced with the newest models and software is updated regularly.
The Department of Art awards scholarships up to $6,000 to incoming freshmen and upper level students.
At UNI, we connect students with the world of art and design!
Each year, we invite many professional artists, designers and scholars to visit
campus and present lectures, workshops and critiques. There are also excellent opportunities for internships and study abroad.
